Spotlight on Ability - Marlee Matlin (IDPwD Series Part 4)

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is held on the 3rd of December each year. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

Every Monday during the month of November, Rural Lifestyle Options Australia will countdown to this commemorative day by recognising and celebrating the achievements of a person with a disability in the wider community.

This week, we celebrate the achievements of Marlee Matlin, who lost all hearing in her right ear and 80% of the hearing in her left ear at the age of 18 months. She has received a number of awards and nominations for her acting work, including two additional Golden Globe nominations and four Emmy Award nominations for her television appearances.
