Last week, Rural Lifestyle Options Australia celebrated the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with a Virtual Afternoon Tea in recognition of NAIDOC Week 2020.

This year, the theme was ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ which recognised that First Nations peoples have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years.

As an organisation, we are committed to taking a proactive approach to advancing reconciliation and we invite all Australians to embrace the true history of this country—a history that dates back thousands of generations.

NAIDOC Week celebrations are usually held around the country each July, however in 2020, due to COVID-19 disruptions and to help keep our communities safe, NAIDOC Week is Sunday 8 November to Sunday 15 November.

The week is a great opportunity to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As part of our ongoing commitment to reconciliation, each of our offices will be hosting events in recognition of this significant week.
